Lisa of Rachels' wished for over a year to offer a simple and basic Kapp, it is now available! Original pattern used to make the 'Basic Kapp' originates from www.candleonthehill.net. Several alterations were made to the Traditional Vintage Covering and the result is beautiful.
Based on the Kapp's of the Amish/Mennonite faith, the 'Basic Kapp' is a simple head covering that wears well under a outer bonnet or hat, or alone if you wish. Can be made in pleats (shown) or gathers. The brim measures 3 3/4" wide and 17" long which will fit a standard size ladies/misses head size and shape. Length can be made longer or shorter if you wish. Has ribbon ties that measure 18" long. Made in black Primalux or white Formtiste fabric (a crisp finish Batiste fabric).
