St. Padre Pio once said that modesty is the greatest exterior sign of the interior state of a soul; "nothing more widely represents the good or bad qualities of a soul than the greater or lesser regulation of the exterior, as when one appears more or less modest."
Thank you to all who have expressed interest in Rachels' custom-made (hand-made) dresses! I will soon be expanding this category into more detailed styles (and in some cases, separate pricing as the design(s) become more detailed and intricate). The styles will range from conservative/plain/modest to styles that are more intricate in detail, such as lace, hem tucks, undersleeves, etc... suitable for Confirmation and other special events. Some of the styles shown are dresses made for myself, taken from several designs and gracefully and artistically combined into one dress (and in some cases, from several periods of history). Regardless of the style, a modest approach is always the primary objective for Rachels' dresses. Additionally, all fabric and notions are purchased from USA Suppliers. At times, I have a limited stock of fabric on hand and charge extra for fabric. Eventually hoping to increase my in-stock supply.
Rachels' also creates Civil War/Historically Correct clothing. Just in time for upcoming fall/winter re-enactments. Please contact me for pricing.
